Filter by material first, since that decides care and heat tolerance, then by color family to match your cabinets and floor. Read the look and care lines on each stone page, and note which rooms it suits. Shortlist two or three and tell us at the estimate. We bring samples in those colors so you can compare them in your own kitchen light.

For natural stone, yes. Granite, quartzite and marble vary from slab to slab even under one name, so you pick the actual slab at a local yard before we cut anything. We then lay out the template on that slab so the veining lands where you want it. Quartz and porcelain keep a steady pattern, so a sample is a fair preview of the finished top.

A stone shows in the gallery only once we have a real photo of it. We would rather show fewer stones honestly than fill the page with stock images that do not match what the yards carry. If a stone you like is not listed, ask about it at the estimate. The gallery is a starting point for color and look, not the full list of what we can fabricate.

Granite is an igneous stone, hard and heat tolerant, with speckled or flowing pattern. Quartzite is quartz sandstone fused under pressure, harder still, with veining that often looks like marble. Marble is softer, etches from lemon and vinegar, and develops a patina. A few stones sold as quartzite behave like marble, and those stone pages say so. All three need sealing.
